About Me

As a parent of 3 girls, I struggled helping them with homework.  Even though I was a teacher at their school, they did not want my help.  They would say, "That's not how my teacher does it." or "You're not doing it right!" There were lots of tears and arguments.  I understand the homework struggle.  It is especially difficult when your child is struggling in school and you don't know how to help them.  Over the years, I’ve had many parents share this same frustration with me.  I started staying after school and tutoring in person.  Later, I decided to branch out and tutor online so I can help even more people avoid the homework tears.  I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to work one on one with students.  I am able to identify the needs of a student and directly work on those skills.  It allows me to get to know the student and form a relationship that doesn’t happen in a large classroom setting.
